Micah Hamlow-Sawyer, Jr.
Age: 22 | State: California | County: Sonoma | Case Status: No Investigation
Micah William “Poopie” Hamlow-Sawyer, Jr. had an incredibly big heart and beautiful smile that lit up the room. He gave big bear hugs to everyone and made friends everywhere he went. We loved Micah with all our heart and he is missed. His biggest joy was spending time with people and was so full of energy when bouncing into a room. He always made people laugh.
In high school he played football and was a 2014 graduate of Analy High School. He was one of the most popular kids at school.
Micah was an extremely loving and caring person. He touched numerous hearts and considered everyone who he was close to his extended family. Micah was known for being a very respectful person and a joy to be around. He took care of everyone that needed help
Micah was my best friend, “My Boy”. We free-dive together in the ocean for abalone and speared fish. We scuba dived and had the most memorable trip when diving in Fiji. We spent summers camping with family and friends. Together, we road motorcycles and quads, hunted, and boated. Micah was improving on wakeboarding and jumping the wakes. I was proud while watching him play football and wrestle.
Micah took the Construction Management program at Sonoma State University while he joined our construction business that my father and I own. We hoped that one day he would take over the business.
Micah had struggled with a heroin addiction for a few years and was homeless on the streets. On January 19, 2019, he lost his grandmother. They nicknamed each other “trouble”. Micah Jr. came home when he heard the news, cleaned up and moved in with his mom. He was doing well and in recovery. He got a job and shortly thereafter his sister was working with him.
Unfortunately, on June 21, 2019, he was, poisoned by Fentanyl. Not a day goes by that we do not think of him and miss him greatly. His infectious smile, boisterous laugh, and his kind nature. I miss you “my boy”.
