Kevin Caliendo never made it home from work on 7/2/2022.  After a multi-city search by family, friends, local law enforcement agencies and Cook County Sheriff’s police, Kevin was found deceased in his parked car at a Shell gas station 3 blocks from home. The ME reported fentanyl poisoning as Kevin’s cause of death.
Kevin was robbed and murdered!
A person seen exiting the passenger door of Kevin’s car in the early hours of 7/3/2022 was questioned by Alsip police in their police vehicle at Red Roof Inn, a couple of blocks away from Shell and released.  Police reported insufficient evidence and closed case. I am Kevin’s Mom. I did not accept the decision to close Kevin’s case and reached out to the Cook County State’s Attorney who agreed to review Kevin’s case and if indicated, launch an investigation.  An investigation is currently in progress.
I will pursue every possible step in the judicial process to find justice for our Kevin!
