Katie Northuis

Age: 18 | State: | County: Wright | Case Status: Open

Katie Northuis died from fentanyl poisoning on June 17, 2023 – just a few weeks after her 18th birthday and HS graduation.

She asked a “friend” to get her a Percocet, but what she was given was a pill that contained only fentanyl and filler.

Katie greatly struggled with her mental health, which led to marijuana use and then experimenting with substances in an effort to find relief.  This was her first time taking pills.

Katie was smart, athletic, and kind to everyone she met. She adored animals, especially her dog Ozzy.  She was a very loyal little sister who loved to spend time talking to and hanging out with her big sis, and she was an incredibly loving daughter.

Most of all, Katie was an amazingly bright soul that brought energy, joy, and laughter into every room she entered.  Her love and light will be forever missed.
