My name is Patricia Drewes. I lost my 24 yr old daughter and only child Heaven Leigh Nelson on January 28th, 2019 to Fentanyl poisoning. Heaven grew up in Edmonton, Alberta Canada. I am a dual citizen. We moved back to North Carolina in 2012 when Heaven turned 18. She was my everything. My whole world. She loved everyone and everyone loved her. She used to say that there was no such thing as strangers. They were friends that we just hadn’t met yet. She lived her life this way. A friend to all she knew. It breaks my heart that someone took advantage of her trusting soul and stole her beautiful life all for a few measley dollars.  She left behind a little boy not quite 3 yrs old when she died. I am raising her son.  His mother should be here. I have fought hard for five long years for justice for my beautiful girl. I will never let this go. She had 50ng fentanyl and 20ng acytle fentanyl in her system per the toxicology report. This is murder! Drug Induced Homicide! Her case is open and very much active. Only because I refuse to give up.
