Eric was a father, a son, and a big brother who trusted the wrong person, who sold him fentanyl-laced marijuana.  He was found dead in his room on 11/2/21.  Although the detective in charge of investigating the case found texts with a drug deal on his phone, pulled the seller’s name and phone records, he closed the case, claiming “there was not enough evidence there to charge her.”  Eric was just 33 years old, with an entire lifetime ahead of him; he wanted to marry his girlfriend and loved her little daughter.  He loved his son even more.  As his family we struggle with the fact that someone caused his death.  As his mother, I will fight for justice for him until my last breath.
