While at work near Dan’s apartment, my ex-husband came to my job and told me that “Dan died”. He was my younger of two children. Dan laid for 2 or 3 days in his apartment before his dad drove all the way from Georgia and found him after breaking in and entering the apartment. I was told that he called his father, because he had been out of work due to the weather. Dan’s father told him to call the next morning, but when he didn’t call and his older brother or wife who lived nearby couldn’t get ahold of him by phone, Dan’s father drove to Ohio. I called the police to get information and talked to Heroine Task Force in Cincinnati who did an investigation. There was not enough evidence, therefore, they closed the case with firmness.
