Casey Dittmann

Age: 33 | State: | County: Gilchrist | Case Status: Unknown

my son. Casey was 33 years old when he was poisoned with fentanyl and xylazine. he had been battling a substance use disorder for the last 18 years of his life. He had eight years of sobriety, and with the help of medical assisting treatment with Suboxone. he decided he wanted to wean off of the Suboxone and he began to struggle. He called the detox crisis hotline where he attended their Buprenorphine  clinic and seen their doctor there three times and one day only three days before he was murdered. They told him he would need to test positive for a drug to come to detox even though they knew his history and his recent decision to wean off. I feel they are sending people to their death by telling them this. He lived with me the last 3 1/2 years of his life and it was the best I had ever seen him. He was doing so well. I certainly never expected this to happen maybe 10 years ago I thought it would. And to be honest unbeknownst to me, he went out and got drugs and was poisoned with fentanyl and xylazine. I awoke on the morning of October 14, 2022 to find my youngest son, my baby boy deceased. He struggled so long and was doing so well. I am not getting any justice I don’t feel like the police are doing enough. I have gathered so much information on my own and took it to our counties police department and they didn’t even know about it. it is such a long story, but the main point is he was not looking to die he just wanted help
